    All three bring such different styles to their playing, but all of them bring joy. The joy is so clear in their performing.

      His melodic sense seriously blows me away. Every recording I hear of him is just filled to the brim with top notch lines even though it’s clear as day he’s improvising those lines. Such a great guitar player.

    I am watching this, holding a Tele. It's the same Tele a friend of mine was playing this song with, one night in '94 when I met him (and played bass behind him). He's since passed, I have his guitar now, and this is just awesome and emotional to watch.

    このお三方の出るフィンガースタイルギターのコンベンションで3人のプレイを生で聴きました。早弾きエンターテイナーのトミーさんはいつもの立てノリ弾丸トミー節ですね。ジムニコルさんはジャズがメインの方で、普段ジャズを聴いている人なら垢抜けたフレーズ、聴いたらすぐわかりますリチャード・スミスさんはイギリス人ですが、単なるテクニシャンではなくてちゃんといつもスウィングしていてブルースもノリが良くジャンルを超越した超技巧者なのに行き過ぎなくて丁度良い。3人のうち一番人気はもちろんトミー、でも一番テクニシャンはリチャードさんです。この曲はかのジャンゴやチェットアトキンスですら品良く味わいをこめてプレイする曲です。こういうのはトミーさんちょっと苦手かも。カッティングも、釈迦釈迦でなう、こういう曲は品よくスウィングして滑らかに弾くものです。

    You could see Jim was unfamiliar with the start Tommy and Richard burst into - but he's primarily a jazz guy and his solo was sweet once he caught up with two talent monsters who partner on gigs often.

    • @olebluemando
      @olebluemando 8 лет назад +4

      +koensieben622 The song is more or less in C major but it starts on the 4 then goes to a minor 4. There's also allot of secondary functions so you just kinda have to know the melody.
